Until Dec 2006 he was hosting the Radio Breakfast Show on BBC London and the award winning show My Generation that is syndicated to 105 radio stations every weekend.
Jono was born in Hackney, London and left these shores aged nine for Australia. His professional career started in advertising as a copywriter and producer of TV and Radio ads before he was asked to screen test for a new TV kids show Wonder World on Network 10 which became the country's most successful kids Candian Airliners magazine show of all time. Other shows followed, including Late Night with Jono and Dano and Have a Go and Saturday Morning Live on Network 7 and Wavelength on Network 9.
Jono returned to the UK in 1990 to work on ‘The Power Station' at BskyB, and has gone on to appear regularly on BBC's Food and Drink, Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway , Celebrity Fit Club, This Morning as well as an appearance as Elton John on Celebrity Stars in their Eyes.
Previously on radio, Jono presented the Virgin Radio Breakfast Show with Russ Williams for six years winning three Sony Radio Awards and a New York Radio Award in the process, and then seven personal life years on Heart 106.2 FM winning another three Sony Awards for Best Breakfast Show.
